The Kansas Association of Mortgage Professionals (KAMP) is an organization of mortgage brokers and professional affiliate members, consisting of individuals from across the state of Kansas. In Kansas, only the Mortgage Broker company is licensed. Individual loan officers merely need to register with the Office of the State Bank Commissioner. With nearly 4,000 registered loan officers in Kansas, choosing a KAMP member to assist you with your mortgage needs gives you the confidence of working with someone who has pledged to abide by Kansas and federal laws, KAMP bylaws and a national code of ethics. KAMP members are active in supporting legislation which would make mandatory licensing and education for all loan originators in the State of Kansas, as well as curbing predatory lending practices. KAMP members also are active participants in continuing education courses. MISSION STATEMENT The Kansas Association of Mortgage Professionals is dedicated to advancing the knowledge and understanding of the mortgage broker profession. KAMP strives to educate and inform its members, professionals of the mortgage industry, and the public regarding the many valuable services and benefits mortgage professionals provide to the home loan borrower.
